This writing course is the first series of two writing courses offered in the Asasi TESL programme. This course introduces students to college writing strategies in which they master specific writing techniques towards writing different types of five-paragraph essays. Students learn to construct thesis statements, concluding statements, topic sentences, supporting details and concluding sentences in a thorough, fluent, and coherent way. Through the understanding of college writing strategies, students will produce academic essays with sound language, vocabulary and writing mechanics.
