This course is designed to enhance basic listening and speaking skills required in social and academic discourse in English. The listening skills will be further developed by listening for main ideas and specific details as well as note-taking through various activities. The development of speaking skills through various activities are in the form of discussions and speeches by incorporating several verbal communicative strategies and elements of pronunciation.
